Riz au lait à la vanille maison

Homemade vanilla rice pudding

A sweet and creamy dessert like in the old days, easily prepared with a few ingredients from the cupboard.
A true taste of childhood to share with the family!


🛒 Ingredients

- Round rice, special for desserts — Vivien Paille

- UHT semi-skimmed milk — Lactel

- Powdered sugar — Daddy

- Liquid vanilla flavoring — Vahiné

- Cornflour — Cornstarch

- Fine salt — Noirmoutier Island


👩🍳 Preparation

- In a saucepan, bring to a boil 1 liter of Lactel milk with a pinch of salt and 1 tsp of Vahiné vanilla flavouring .

- Sprinkle 150g of Vivien Paille round rice over the top and cook over low heat for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring regularly.

- When the rice is tender, add 60g of Daddy sugar and 1 tsp of cornflour diluted in a little milk to thicken slightly.

- Let it simmer for another 5 minutes, then pour into ramekins. Serve warm or cold, according to your preference.


💡 Tip

Sprinkle with Van Houten cocoa or Bonne Maman jam before serving for an even more indulgent touch.
