They display full traceability: harvested and shelled by the producers, then imported and packaged in the Gers region by the Scop Ethiquable. WHAT I DEFEND: A PRODUCER-CONTROLLED SECTOR Local processing by producer cooperatives is a major economic issue: they sell their shelled nuts 5.5 times more expensive than a raw nut. It is also an ecological issue that reduces transport by 73% compared to a non-organic cashew nut produced in Africa, shelled in Asia and consumed in France.
