Thanks to this preparation, you can adjust the consistency of your béchamel sauce according to your needs: thick for gratinating, light for coating. Note that this Béchamel preparation contains gluten. For over 150 years, Maizena® Corn Flour has been with you every day! The small yellow and white box has become an essential ingredient in every kitchen cupboard. Founded in 1862 in the United States, the Maïzena® brand quickly became known worldwide thanks to its flagship product: Maïzena® Corn Flour. It was in 1924 that La Société des Produits du Maïs first manufactured Maïzena® Corn Flower in France. Cock-a-doodle-doo! French mothers used it to prepare baby bottles and baby food, but very quickly, Maïzena® Corn Flower took up residence in kitchens for a variety of savory and sweet recipes. Because Maïzena® also offers a range of binders, Saucelines®, to perfectly bind and set white or brown sauces without any lumps. The brand also launched Roux for Béchamel (made from wheat flour) to facilitate the delicate preparation of this flagship sauce for French gourmets. Since 2016, Maizena® has launched a range of preparations for making delicious gluten-free savory and sweet recipes, under license with AFDIAG, the French Association of Gluten Intolerants. Finally, in 2017, Maïzena® entered the organic segment with its new product, Fleur de Maïs® Bio, which you can use freely in your recipes!
