Our soap is cold saponified. Classic saponification involves reacting hot soda with fatty substances. In cold saponification, the resulting soap is not rinsed with water, which preserves the glycerin naturally produced during the reaction. Natural glycerin is emollient, humectant, and hydrating, and strengthens the functions of the skin's natural lipids. Our soap is made with Organic Aloe Vera, known for its soothing, healing, and hydrating properties, and organic vegetable oils, such as coconut oil and olive oil, for a rich, creamy lather. After the saponification reaction, we incorporate Organic Shea Butter to protect, soften, and restructure. Pur'Aloé superfatted soap is a true skin care product, particularly suitable for dry and sensitive skin.
