Recipe idea: Floating Island INGREDIENTS: • 1 sachet of alsa® Vanilla Custard mix • 1 sachet of alsa® Vanilla Sugar • 50 cl of milk • 6 eggs • 100 g of sugar • 1 tablespoon of oil • 1 pinch of salt RECIPE PREPARATION: 1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (Gas Mark 5). Prepare the alsa® Custard following the instructions on the package. Refrigerate. 2. Separate the whites and yolks of the 6 eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff, adding a pinch of salt and a sachet of alsa® Vanilla Sugar. 3. Gently pour the egg whites into ramekins brushed with a little oil or silicone molds and bake in a bain-marie for 30 minutes, until the top begins to turn golden. Then gently unmold onto the cooled custard. 4. Refrigerate the floating island until ready to serve. 5. Before serving, pour the sugar into a small saucepan and heat until it becomes a light caramel. Pour it directly onto the floating islands in a lace-like pattern. alsa® tip: For express cooking, you can microwave the egg whites at 350W for 1 minute. If necessary, microwave them every 20 seconds until they are cooked to your liking.
